As I write this I have tears streaming down my face. It is my birthday and I have been so blessed by my family and my friends remembering me on this day and making me feel so special. However, it’s been a little bittersweet. I lost my dad the day before Thanksgiving, and this is the first birthday without him. While I have a smile on my face, so I don’t bring anybody else down, inside I’m so down and no way to work. The aching in my heart just won’t go away.
