The National Weather Service in Tulsa has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the KLRC listening area. Benton and Washington in Arkansas, and Adair and Delaware in Oklahoma are all counties under this warning.
The NWS is predicting 6-12 inches of snow with chances of blowing snow possibly occurring. They are warning that dangerous travel conditions are expected areawide, with impacts likely to continue into next weekend given the forecasted snow and sleet amounts.
There is also an Extreme Cold Warning issued through Monday morning, where dangerously cold wind chills as low as 15 below zero are expected.
