Please give a warm welcome to Christy, the new Co-Host of The KLRC Morning Show!
Here's a bit more about Christy in her own words:
Hi, I'm Christy! I'm a Fort Smith native with a passion for God and His people. I can be easily distracted by chocolate, cheese dip, nerf guns, and puppies. I'm often referred to as the designated extrovert of any given group, and I'm a sucker for adventure and spontaneity.
I went to college on a soccer scholarship, earning my degree in broadcast journalism. Thinking I was going to be the next ESPN sideline reporter, I worked as a TV producer and radio personality for three years. As I grew closer to God, I felt a calling to teach. So I headed back to college, earning my master’s degree in education and then serving as a teacher and high school coach for the next seven years in NWA.
Once my son, Mac, was born, I became a stay at home mom and blogger. Then, I eventually found myself hosting the “The Brave Place” Podcast for KLRC, which reignited my love for real life storytelling and bringing hope and encouragement to listeners. Having faced several strongholds, I understand the power of addiction and deception. I also understand that the power of Jesus Christ is far greater and can break through all of it. My life motto is, "In Him all things are possible, and in Him, all things are made new again!"
We're thrilled to welcome Christy to the KLRC team, and can't wait for you to get to know her.
