Turning Ordinary Moments Holy

Every day, James climbs into his car, turns the key, and begins another shift driving for Uber and Lyft. Before his first rider ever opens the door, he reaches over and turns on the radio, tuned to KLRC.
When passengers get in, James starts by making them feel welcome. As he puts it, “I explain to them: you’re not my passenger, you’re my guest. And because you’re my guest, can I play the radio for you?” So far, everyone has said yes.
With the music playing and conversations beginning, something remarkable happens.
“I have KLRC going, and you’re talking about God and it opens the door for them to say something. Then I get to share my story. Sometimes God moves something in my heart, and I share things with them that they need.”
One ride in particular has stayed with him. James told a gentleman that God loved him and that his life had purpose and value. “He told me he was going to start crying because he didn’t know,” James said. “Before he got out, he asked me if I would pray for him.”
So James pulled over, and right there in the car, they prayed together.
“He may have left my side,” James reflected, “but the Holy Spirit is walking with him.” This isn’t a one-time experience. James says moments like these have happen often.
These conversations, prayers, and life-change moments don’t happen by accident. They happen because God uses faithful friends like you to create opportunities to share His hope through KLRC. Your generosity keeps KLRC playing in places we could never reach on our own—inside cars, on daily commutes, and in ordinary moments God turns into holy ones.
James summed it up this way: “I just get to be a tool, and I get to go along with the ride and see what God does in their life, not me.”
In just a few weeks, we’ll invite our listening community to take part in our Spring Fundraiser. But before that begins, your early support could play a vital role in helping us start strong. Your generosity provides the foundation we need so that, during the fundraiser, we can focus on inviting new listeners to join in supporting this ministry for the first time.
That’s why I’m writing to ask if you would prayerfully consider making a gift of support to KLRC today. Your gift helps ensure that messages of hope, encouragement, and truth continue reaching people right where they are—often at moments when they need it most.
When you give, you’re not just supporting a radio station. You’re helping create space for conversations about faith, moments of prayer, and reminders of God’s love in everyday places.
You can give online—quickly, safely, and securely—right now.
Thank you for renewing your support today and for helping build strong momentum as we prepare for the fundraiser. Your faithfulness truly makes a Positive Difference—one listener, one conversation, one ride at a time.
With gratitude,
Sean Sawatzky
KLRC General Manager
P.S. As a thank-you for your early gift, you’ll automatically be entered to win two tickets to see Forrest Frank at the BOK Center in Tulsa this summer. More importantly, your support helps ensure that hope and encouragement continue riding along—even before the on-air fundraiser begins.
