Through Dark Days

A few months ago, I made a phone call to one of the members of our donor support team. His name is Burt.

"I want everybody there to know that you guys have helped me through the hardest time of my whole entire life. My wife became very ill and I took care of her at home. 15 months ago, our Heavenly Father said it was time for her to come home. I was blessed to have the love of my life here on this earth for 39 years. I really miss her."

As Burt told me more of his story, I couldn't imagine what such a great loss must feel like.

"I wanted to just give up, and say I don't want to live anymore without her. But He said, no I'm not ready for you. I've got a work for you. It's not your time yet."

As Burt grieved, he turned to God. And God used KLRC to bring him comfort and strength.

"I want you guys to know how much you mean to me. In my darkest, darkest days, you guys helped get me through it."

Burt was more than just grateful. He was so excited about what God is doing through KLRC, and even more excited to be a part of it!

"Oh man, the outreach that you guys have and the ministry, all of the hundreds of thousands of people that you are reaching for Christ... it is so, so awesome. My prayer for you guys is blessing upon blessing, and that you are used of Him in a much greater measure than you've ever been."

This year has been full of loss for so many, but everyday God uses KLRC to share comfort and hope in Jesus with people like Burt.
