We Are Messengers is back with a new song on KLRC called "Image of God."
Darren from We Are Messengers had this to say about the new track:
Genesis 1:27 tells us that God created mankind in his own image, and this fact is an inescapable and ever-present reminder that God is the author, the designer, and the originator of our very existence. Every single man, woman, and child on the planet is an image bearer of the King of Glory. My hope is that this song will leave you loving your neighbor so very well, serving your community, demonstrating the love of Jesus, and holding your family incredibly closely, knowing that we have all been made in the image of God.
The band also shared the powerful purpose behind the imagery in the song's music video:
Our brand new music video for “Image of God” is here and features a black and white ultrasound. Why? Because we love ultrasounds. They remind us that we are not defined by the color of our skin, our occupation, or the social class we belong to. We are not defined by our political affiliation, the sum of our achievements, or the mistakes we have made. We are simply created in the wonderful image of God, and because of that, each of us no matter where we’re from, where we’ve been or what we’ve done are worthy of being loved. Share this message with the world. It could change everything!
