"He is risen! He is risen, indeed!"
That Easter greeting often rehearsed in churches all over the world was the way early Christians greeted each other every day! Their hope and celebration of Christ’s saving victory over sin and death was an all-day, every day reality of life and their eternal life. They had come to know just what Scripture had been saying all along: the Messiah would be the Suffering Servant and the Risen King of Kings. That Messiah is Jesus of Nazareth and Him alone.
In fact, the best thing I can say about Easter Sunday is what the Bible says itself:
“The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 15:56-57
Jesus is handing you His victory. Believe. Receive Him.
