Feels Like Home

Betina sat across from me in my office, sharing her story with tears in her eyes. When her family moved here from Los Angeles, they were looking for something to help them adjust to their new life.

"We were always listening to a Christian radio station, and when we moved here I couldn't find it on the dial. We stumbled upon KLRC and we just fell in love with it. In 3 years now the dial has never moved, morning to night."

When they first arrived, they were looking for ways to be a part of their new community. Then on KLRC, they heard about an opportunity to do just that.

"One of my favorite things right away after moving was the Valentine cards campaign. My daughter made so many homemade cards, and at that time you were collecting them for the local nursing homes. We dropped them off, and it made us feel like we were already home."

Betina and her daughter spend a lot of time in the car, driving to home school co-op classes and activities.

"I know when I'm in the car with my daughter that no matter the mood of the day, it always turns to glorifying God through music, so I really appreciate it."
