Pumpkin Patches in NWA!

Fall in Northwest Arkansas means cooler temperatures, changing leaves, and plenty of opportunities to make some memories with the people you love!

And if picking out the perfect pumpkin is part of your family's fall tradition, there are plenty of great places to do it. Some offer the full fall experience with corn mazes, hayrides, farm animals, games, and food, while others are perfect for simply slowing down, picking out a pumpkin, and enjoying a beautiful fall afternoon.

Here are some local spots to add to your fall bucket list!

McGarrah Farms

14816 Miser Road, Pea Ridge

If you want the classic pumpkin-patch experience, McGarrah Farms lets you head into the field and find the perfect pumpkin while enjoying plenty of fall fun along the way.

Admission includes a hayride, SpiderWeb Climb, Mule Train, jump pads, hay pyramid, zip lines, play areas, corn cribs, ball toss games, and plenty of spots for that perfect fall family photo. Food trucks are also available on weekends, and leashed pets are welcome!

DATES: September 26-November 1

HOURS: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, 1-6 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Sunday, noon-6 p.m.; closed Tuesdays.

ADMISSION: $14 per person. Children 2 and younger are free. Pumpkins are sold separately and priced according to variety and size.

GOOD TO KNOW: Cash and cards are accepted. Food trucks are available on weekends, and leashed pets are welcome. Photographers are also welcome, but everyone entering the farm is required to pay admission.

In The Pines Pumpkin Patch

1836 US-412, Hindsville

Here's a pumpkin patch with a setting that's a little different from the rest! In The Pines has been welcoming families since 1990, with pumpkins and gourds tucked among the trees of an Ozark pine forest.

You'll find dozens of varieties of pumpkins and gourds along with a seasonal gift shop featuring locally made goods, jams, seasonal treats, and more. This is a simpler pumpkin-picking experience rather than a large fall festival.

HOURS: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m.; Sunday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.; closed Tuesdays.

ADMISSION: Free. Pumpkins and other items are priced separately.

Rivercrest Orchard Fall Festival

2991 Dead Horse Mountain Road, Fayetteville

You could easily make an entire fall afternoon out of a trip to Rivercrest Orchard!

The annual Fall Festival includes pumpkin picking, a corn maze, hayrides, sunflower and zinnia fields, a six-acre barnyard play area, train rides, bounce pillows, ziplines, bumper cars, seasonal treats, photo opportunities, and more.

DATES: September 12-November 1

HOURS: Saturday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Friday, 3-8 p.m. beginning October 2; Thursday, October 22 & 29, 3-8 p.m.; Monday, October 19, noon-6 p.m.

ADMISSION: General admission typically ranges from $19.95-$24.95 for ages 3 and older, depending on the date. Pumpkins, apples, face painting, and some additional activities are not included in general admission.

Farmland Adventures

5355 Parsons Road, Springdale

Farmland Adventures packs a lot of fall fun into one stop! Along with the pumpkin patch, families can explore a giant corn maze, meet farm animals, enjoy wagon rides, watch pig races, climb the hay pyramid, play on pedal karts, and more.

DATES: September 11-November 1

HOURS: Friday, 3-9 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m.-9 p.m.; Sunday, 1-6 p.m. beginning October 4. Special weekday events are also offered on select dates.

ADMISSION: $16.50 plus tax when purchased online or $18.50 plus tax at the farm. Admission is required for ages 3 and older. Food, animal feed, pumpkins, and other items to take home are additional.

Sequoyah UMC Youth Pumpkin Patch

1910 N. Old Wire Road, Fayetteville

For years, the Youth Pumpkin Patch at Sequoyah United Methodist Church has offered thousands of pumpkins and gourds in all kinds of shapes and sizes.

There's a bigger purpose behind the pumpkins, too. The annual pumpkin patch helps support the church's youth and mission-related work.

DATES: September 25-October 31

HOURS: Sunday-Friday, noon-7 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.

ADMISSION: Free. Pumpkins and gourds are available for purchase.

Edward Gay Family Farm

4737 E. Robinson Avenue, Springdale

This isn't a traditional pumpkin patch filled with rides and attractions, but it's still a great local stop during the fall season.

The Gay family has been growing produce on its east Springdale land for generations, and its roadside market offers locally and regionally grown produce throughout the season. During September and October, that includes pumpkins. You'll also find apples, cider, jams, jellies, baked goods, honey, and other locally produced favorites.

DATES: Pumpkins available September-October.

HOURS: Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Sunday, 1-6 p.m.

ADMISSION: Free. Pumpkins, produce, and other items are priced separately.

GOOD TO KNOW: The farm's Arkansas Grown listing notes that credit cards are not accepted, so plan to bring another form of payment.

Vanzant Fruit Farms

3705 E. Highway 264, Lowell

Vanzant Fruit Farms has been part of Northwest Arkansas since 1949. The family farm is best known for its orchards, including numerous varieties of peaches and apples, along with grapes and plenty of other seasonal produce.

During the fall, pumpkins join the mix at Vanzant's Market, making this another easy stop if you're looking for pumpkins without the admission price and activities of a larger fall festival.

DATES: Pumpkins are available seasonally during the fall while supplies last.

HOURS: Monday-Saturday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.; closed Sunday.

ADMISSION: Free. Pumpkins, produce, jams, jellies, honey, and other market items are priced separately.

Ranalli Farms

1960 W. Henri De Tonti Boulevard, Springdale

Ranalli Farms has been part of Northwest Arkansas for generations, and fall brings plenty of pumpkins to its longtime produce market in Tontitown.

Along with seasonal pumpkins, you'll find fresh produce, baked goods, homemade pasta, and plenty of other goodies. If you're already thinking ahead to Thanksgiving, their bakery also makes seasonal pumpkin and pecan pies!

DATES: Pumpkins are typically available mid-September through December, with the farm's pumpkin patch highlighted throughout October.

HOURS: Monday-Saturday, 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m.; Sunday, noon-5 p.m.
