Sometimes, it feels like you spend your whole life just waiting to be invited. Invited to the sleepover. The prom. The relationship. The job. But the greatest invitation comes from Jesus. If you’ve already accepted it, you know… this is The Invitation you were always waiting for.

This Easter, KLRC wants to team up with you to extend The Invitation! Think of one person you could invite to join you for church on Easter Sunday… and then, ask!

If that makes you a little nervous, that's ok! We've put together some ideas and extra resources to help. You can even request a Bible to gift to the person you invite. (The Bible request form is at the bottom of this page.)

3 Simple Options to Invite Someone to Easter Service

1. Quick Text or Social Media Message
(perfect for coworkers or neighbors you already chat with)

  • Why it works: Feels casual and immediate. Most people check their phone daily, so it’s easy to reply “yes” or “maybe.”
  • Script you can copy/paste and edit accordingly:

Hey [Name]! 👋

Quick question—would you like to come to church with me on Easter Sunday? Our service is all about hope and fresh starts, and it’s super welcoming even if you’ve never been before. I’d love to have you join me—no pressure at all if it’s not your thing.

I’ll save a seat right next to me (and coffee is on me afterward 😊). Service starts at [time] at [Church Name]. Let me know if you’d like to come!

Have a great day!

2. Hand-Written Note
(great for neighbors—leave it in their mailbox or on their door)

  • Why it works: A short handwritten note feels personal and thoughtful. It stands out in a digital world and shows you took the extra minute to care.
  • Script (write it on a simple card or folded paper):

Hi [Name],

Happy almost Easter! 🌷

I’ve been thinking about how Easter is all about hope and fresh starts. Our church is putting on a special Sunday service that’s really uplifting—even if you’ve never been before or it’s been a long time.

I’d love for you to come with me. I’ll even save you a seat beside me and meet you at the entrance so you don’t have to walk in alone.

Service is [date] at [time] at [Church Name]. No dress code, no expectations—just good company and a message of hope.

Let me know if you’d like to join me!

P.S. Text or call me anytime: [your number]

3. Short Email
(ideal for coworkers or acquaintances you have an email address for)

  • Why it works: Emails feel a little more formal but still friendly. You can add a photo of the church or a simple Easter graphic if you want.
  • Script (add to new email and edit accordingly):

Subject: Would you like to join me for Easter Sunday? 😊

Hi [Name],

I hope this email finds you well.

Easter Sunday is coming up, and our church is having a special service focused on hope and new beginnings—perfect for anyone who hasn’t been in a while (or ever!). The music is beautiful, the message is encouraging, and everyone is welcome exactly as they are.

I’d really enjoy having you there with me. I’ll save a seat for you right next to me so you feel comfortable.

Service details:
Date: Easter Sunday
Time: [time]
Location: [Church Name] ([address if helpful])

No pressure at all—just let me know if you’d like to come, and I’ll add your name to the saved seat list! Coffee and donuts afterward are my treat.

Looking forward to hearing from you,
[Your Name]
