That's a wrap on KLRC's Christmas Wish! Thanks to our friends at Sam's Furniture, as well as a whole host of KLRC listeners, for making 3 special Christmas Wishes come true.
Miss any of our 3 Christmas Wish reveals? Catch up by listening to the replays below!
Family #1: Jeni & Caleb
Jeni and Caleb are dealing with financial and medical difficulties. This family always gives their home to anyone in need. They use their home as a vessel for the glory of God! They will open their home when someone needs a bed for the night, a warm meal, or even a venue for their child’s birthday party! They have such a huge heart and they have gone through so much this year! Jeni is a teacher and Caleb is a healthcare hero so they have both been working overtime during this pandemic. She wants to provide her students a wonderful education and Caleb wants to provide patients proper care. This family is the most caring and deserving family I can think of!
Family #2: Ralph & Minerva
Ralph and Minerva are both essential workers at two different schools in Rogers. Minerva is a school secretary and Ralph is a custodian. Earlier this year, Ralph suffered a stroke, which caused them both to be off work for some time. On top of caring for Ralph, Minerva also had to quarantine after a COVID-19 close contact. They are now dealing with a mound of medical bills. On top of all that, they have a vehicle in need of repair, which has forced Minerva to have to walk to work. This couple goes above and beyond to help everyone else at their schools, and are definitely deserving of some help themselves after such a hard year!
Family #3: Rick & Cecilia
Rick and Cecilia have been married and sober for 18 years. They created a non-profit, Bridge Over Troubled Waters, to help others overcome addiction. In the past twelve years, Cecilia and Ricky have worked with approximately 200 people who were coming out of addiction or incarceration. These folks have lived on their property, and the family has used their personal income to provide for the care and restoration of these people. In the last three years, due to various hardships, their income has not been sufficient enough to provide for remodels, replacements or upgrades to the houses and/or property. Also, three years ago they accepted guardianship for three of Ricky’s nieces who were homeless in California. It has been a hard year and this family deserves to be taken care of after they have taken care of so many others.
