Don't Lose Heart

Posted by Cindy

I have had some health problems this summer and the music has been such an encouragement to me. I heard the song "Don't Lose Heart" by Steven Curtis Chapman this morning and it really lifted me up. Thank you for all that you do for our communities and giving God the praise. God bless all of you!

Encouraged Daily

Posted by Deb

KLRC truly makes a positive difference in my life. I don’t get to listen to it as much since I moved away from NWA, but I still turn to it on the app. It fills my soul with love and light. I am encouraged daily by the music and by people’s stories. I am blessed to be able to support this wonderful ministry. It lifts my spirits to know I’m helping others to hear and learn about God’s love for them.

What KLRC Means to Rex

Posted by Kara

Rex is a nonverbal 18 year old with down syndrome and autism. When we met Rex with his parents, Chris and Jamie, we learned that his conditions don't define who he really is. His heart does. And he has the heart of Jesus. When you support KLRC, God is using you to encourage listeners like Rex, his family, and anyone that rides in the car with him! If you'd like to make a special gift in honor of Rex's story, you can give online today.

Hope

Posted by Anonymous

I have been giving regularly for some time... I love this station. It is pretty much "my" station. Always seems to be the song I need at the moment I need. I lost my husband about 1 1/2 years ago. I was worried I would have to stop giving. I'm on disability... so my money each month is not much. But God, He is so good. I listen to His direction. He is my Hope and I want to know others have His hope... the music on this station helps to bring that. It reminds people who He is and that He is always with us. Thank for doing what you are doing. I am grateful that I am still able to contribute. Blessings to each of you and all those that help keep this going.

Addiction

Posted by Anonymous

I am a recovering Alcoholic. I believe my God can heal and give me the resources to keep me sober. This journey has been filled with sobriety and relapses. I still struggle with thoughts of drinking and not feeling worthy. I want to know and love God better. I want to submit to God's will and not take it back. It is a struggle. I have been sober this time for almost one month. I know it is possible to live a life sober. I thank God for his forgiveness, mercies, and grace. Thank you for praying for me. God bless you!

Out Of The Darkness

Posted by Anonymous

Growing up, my parents always played Christian radio. Like most kids I would groan but it made a lasting impact on me. Fast forward to my college years and what did I do when I hit rough times? I would catch myself scanning the radio only to hear you talk about doing the 30 day listening challenges. And off I would go listening to KLRC long past the reason I started and well into the next trial of my life. Fast forward again to my 31 yr old self, a wife and mother of 2 boys. KLRC is the only radio station I listen to. You have helped me in more ways than one. You bring positivity, joy, and peace. Your songs always find a way to hit home and say what I would be feeling without being able to say it myself. I have always thought and wanted to give but never followed through. Last night I followed through with my first gift of single $150. It's not much but it's the best I can do at this time. See, ten days ago my life was forever altered when my best friends called to tell me about an accident. This accident tragically involved her baby girl. Her girls are my girls and my boys are hers. Our hearts are shattered and we are trying to find the strength to pick up the pieces. I have held on to your station more than ever to give me the strength to not only heal my heart but her family's as well. We have a long hard journey ahead of us and we will need you with us. Thank you for being there and bringing me out of the darkness at least for a little bit. Thank you to the people giving so that you can be there. And please keep us in your prayers.

There's Always Hope

Posted by Kaleb

My name is Kaleb, 2011-2018 was a challenging time for me, I struggled finding myself, I lost hope, but most of all I lost my faith. I always felt so alone, and thought if I changed myself into a person I wasn't before then that would help (little did I know it only made it worse in the long run). Near the end of 2018 I went to the Great Passion Play with one of my best friends, and it was near the end of the play where I realized I was really never alone, the Holy Father was guiding me every step of the way to get me to that point. You all helped in a way too in a way, I just love the energy you give every time I hear you on the radio! God bless each and every one of you and even the KLRC listeners out there!

Love the Podcasts

Posted by Anonymous

Holley, Jennifer and Suzie, I can not thank you enough for all of the hope and inspiration your More Than Small Talk Podcast brings me. It is hard to pick a very favorite, but I think mine is probably Episode number 40, "Body Unshaming." I listened to it again today for about the 5th time and I can not relay to you how much it strikes a chord in me. Holley, your story about the little boy who told you you were ugly as a little girl is one that I also lived. Fat and ugly. It took me a long time to dispel that myth within myself. I am 66 years old now and have come to realize over the years that it is what is in your heart that counts and if you have the love of God within yourself, He will bring you the peace and reassurance that you need and His words remind me that I am beautifully and wonderfully made. Holley, I love your brain science, Suzie, I love your strength and calm, and Jennifer I love the way that your love and teach your girls. Thank you all so much! God bless you!!"

Grabbed my Attention

Posted by Judy

Yesterday I was cleaning out my garage listening to my favorite radio station KLRC (whom I support monthly). I was listening to a story about a woman named Judy who struggles with sobriety. As I was listening to her story, I was thinking she has been through what I have. And she has the same name!

Word of God Speak

Posted by Cindy

My husband passed away on September 30 after a prolonged illness that had become worse in the prior month. Through it all, my prayers were that God's will be done.

God spoke to me through KLRC. One day I was particularly discouraged out on a walk at lunch time. I often pray while I walk. "Into the Sea" was the song for me that day - it was as if God was saying "it's gonna be ok." Even though I have been a day sponsor for several years, I decided to add another day to honor my husband and thank God that he uses KLRC to speak to me.

I’m Gonna Be Ok

Posted by Judy

This morning while sitting on my back porch, I was reading my Bible and listening to KLRC on the radio. I do this almost every day and it gives me peace and strength to face another day.

I am 13 months sober. Last year on New Year’s Eve I decided I wanted to quit drinking I was on my tenth year anniversary. My health was getting worse and I was just tired of living the way I was mentally and physically. I wanted a fresh start... or an end! I was raised by grandparents and church and religion was a big part of my childhood, so suicide was NOT an option! Back in March of last year our landlord told us he was selling the house and we would have to move. We had 5 dogs and a cat I didn’t know what to do so, I decided on an all-nighter which almost killed me! As I was drinking alone that night I told God, "I’m done! I’m giving you control of my life! I don’t want to live like this anymore."

The last year has been a struggle for sure, but with God all things are possible. Everything I had prayed for and asked God for He has answered... my prayers for my home, finances, health and most of all sobriety. We serve an almighty God! I love the music and when weakness was trying to overtake me God used KLRC to send me the songs I needed to give me encouragement. "The God Who Stays" is one of my favorites.

Thank you so much for all the radio station does!! God bless you all.

A Heart for Christian Radio

Posted by Angie

I have a neat story about how KLRC ministered to me through a long difficult battle of my mom’s cancer a year and a half ago. (She left earth for her heavenly home 5/7/18) My mom was such a godly woman and gave clear instructions to my brother and I ( that upon her death) to tithe the proceeds that we get from her oil royalties.I chose KLRC as one of the ways to honor her request! She always had a heart for christian radio and was instrumental in getting a station in our small town. So very thankful that I can hear encouraging words/songs/testimonies that start my days off right!

From Patient to Patient

Posted by Jane

Unfortunately I need to stop my monthly donation. My husband and I both have medical bills this year and I will be out of work for 6-10 weeks due to an upcoming surgery. I am so sorry. I will donate again as soon as possible. I really enjoy your radio station. I am a Hospice RN Case Manager and your music gets me from patient to patient. Thank you so much. And again, I am sorry I need to stop donating as of now. God Bless!!

The Only Station For Me

Posted by Pam

I want to thank you for your prayers. I listen to you daily for I need to hear so many of the songs you play. My favorite is You Are More by Tenth Avenue North. It changed my life 3 years ago. Before that song I was in a bad place, I was continually suicidal and tried many times to end my life. I even begged God to let me come home. Now I know He kept me here because I have a purpose and I am doing my best to fulfill it. Please allow me to share it for I need prayer for it to happen. I was a battered wife for many years, and my purpose is to build a Ranch for battered women/children and animals… I will never listen to another radio station again. KLRC is definitely the only station for me!

Never Changed the Station Since

Posted by Charlotte

About ten years ago as I was recovering from an abusive relationship, I listened to that tug on my heart and took KLRC's 30 Day Challenge. I've never changed the station since that day! And I attribute that moment to the one that happened last night as my two girls begged me to listen to "The Blessing" before bed. God is good!!!

Songs for Everyone

Posted by April

If you are looking for music with depth and meaning, listen to KLRC. The songs they play are not just for people who already believe in Jesus and attend church every week. Some of these songs are for people who have never stepped foot in a church - people with addictions, people who have lost a child, people who have made mistakes and are worried that they are not good enough to be loved. These songs are for people who need to be reminded that there is hope; people who need to know that someone else out there has been through the same thing they are dealing with. And sometimes these are things that people are uncomfortable talking about, but the music just lays it all on the table and allows you to feel what you need to feel.

Building Up Hope

Posted by Lorrie

KLRC builds up hopes in the good times, reminds me I am never alone when I feel like I don't belong and helps the broken heart to heal and gives courage in those desperate times which I have had many in the last 5 years. It has been a voice in the darkness coming home from the hospitals, loss of loved ones. It doesn't answer questions of "WHY" but the staff and artist help remind us that our savior understands all we go through and we are not alone on this earth, there are others out there that understand, going through the same things and we are family.

Encouraged in Traffic

Posted by Nichole

Please, friends, support this beautiful expression of God's love for the hurting, the lost and the ones losing their bananas in traffic. I... err... THEY need you to help them through the endless evils of Monday morning traffic. People need Jesus as they sit in the utterly frustrating traffic... some more than others... not me... ok, ME! You may not know the impact your donation is making in the every-day lives of people stuck in traffic. The Positive Difference is a sweet salve of mercy and grace to many throughout NWA. Blessings.

Staying Positive

Posted by Shara

We work with children with special developmental needs from babies to high school age. At times, it can get challenging to stay positive with challenging behaviors that come along with developmentally delayed children.

When we started listening to KLRC on the radio, at 103.5 in Springdale, the atmosphere and attitudes seemed to turn more positive amidst the day- to-day frustrations. We as therapists are reminded to stay more positive, and therefore the kids are more positive and get better results from therapy.

We are a non-profit clinic that serves only Medicaid based children who are low income. Thank you for reminding us of God’s love!

Encouragement

Posted by Anonymous

I was driving my daughter to the doctor Monday morning when my phone rang. It was Mark and Keri from KLRC Morning Show. What they didn't know was it had been a very long weekend. My daughter has been sick for about a month. We were at the Emergency Room on Friday, and we were heading to the doctor because she wasn't getting better. Frustrating, because we don't know the reason.

My daughter was crying softly in the passenger seat. I was surprised with the call, but I know God's peace flooded my heart and was present in the car hearing the gentle voices of Mark and Keri.

God ministered to me through that short conversation. I had been wondering where God was. Was He hearing our prayers? Did anyone care? He gently reminded me that, yes, He does know and He does care.

Mark and Keri didn't know what I was experiencing that morning, and the call had nothing to do with that, but God used them to bring me back into His presence.

Thank you KLRC for your ministry, your commitment to share God and share joy, and the uplifting presence you bring.

God is Great!

Posted by Jose Salazar

A couple months ago I gave up. I didn't believe anything. I accumulated a lot of stress. I didn’t know what to do. I felt like there was only one way out.

But recently, I had a newborn baby. His name is Mateo Eric Salazar. I grabbed the Bible last week and promised Jesus that I would be a man of faith and will continue to live His way and not my way. He’s the reason why my job is giving me better opportunities, and He is giving me the strength to support my wife and 3 kids. Listening to KLRC makes my morning better every day! Thank you guys so much.
