My brother Charles was in a serious car accident over the weekend and had to be cut out of the vehicle and life-flighted to Springfield with a broken pelvis, knees, and wrists, as well as internal injuries. He has already gone through one surgery and will have more. He won’t be able to walk for three months, so all the prayer he can get will help.
I am 22 years old just finishing my freshman year in college. I have worn glasses since I was four years old, and I’ve always struggled with vision. Earlier this year, my uncle offered to pay for me to have LASIK surgery. I was beyond excited, but then I had complications. I’ve had four different procedures, and am still awaiting more. I am without glasses, unable to see, and waiting and hoping that they can correct my eyesight. Thankfully God has been with me and getting me through my schoolwork, but I still am in the unknown of when or if I will ever be able to see or what they can do to help me. If you could, please pray for 20/20 vision and also just to strengthen my faith and hope during this time.
Please pray for a good friend of mine who is going through marriage problems. His wife is set to move out any day now, and take their two young children with her. I don't know the details because they are a very private family, but I do know personally what it's like to go through this kind of situation. It hurts more than you can imagine. It's hard on everyone involved. Please keep in prayer my good friend and his family. God has the power to restore, but it's going to take two to even want to explore that possibility.
Candy was informed yesterday her treatment she has been receiving did not take. So she was told she only has 6 months to live. Candy is such a humble, god, loving wife and mother to 5 amazing lovely young girls. I’m asking for all prayer warriors to pray God heals her unconditionally.
A child's voice is so precious, as much of us know. My son is 7 with autism. He has so many great skills. However, his inability to speak has caused problems at times. This school year alone my child has been able to learn all his letters, walk with a helper and not elope most of the time, potty train completely, and he even started singing his favorite songs. This is one of the few times we hear his beautiful voice. His speech teacher has worked out a program for his speech at school. She has offered to make the program and show me how to adapt it on an iPad 9 or 10 for at home usage. After, doing all my bills this month and even working 2 jobs I cannot swing the cost of an iPad 9 or 10. The program may not work on an older tablet. I am not sure what else I can do but I just pray for hope that before the end of May, I can figure out a device that is his, so he can finally share his voice. Please, pray that with time one will be figured out.
My nephew is 10 years old and they found that he has bone cancer on his upper right shoulder. It's so sudden the doctor already started a chemo for him. Seeing him is hard, I know he hurts, but he doesn't show it. He is active and full of joy and life. We want him to know that we all love him.
Please pray for Josiah as he is exploring becoming a missionary. He is currently fundraising for a 10-month-long training opportunity that takes place in Peru. Pray for wisdom as he learns from Scripture about sharing the gospel, and pray for his funding to come successfully and timely.
Please pray for my niece, as she is in the final stages of her battle with Leptomeningeal disease, coupled with a brain tumor. She is now in hospice care surrounded by close family that are having to watch her slowly passes. She is only 27 years old and has a 3 year old son. Her life has been a constant testimony of Jesus' love and she has incredible unwavering faith. She has literally touched hundreds of lives and is an inspiration and a light to everyone who knows her. Please pray for the strength of the family in the days to come, that they will find rest in His promise of her being in a new body and in His loving arms.
I've worked so hard to keep my family afloat. We began falling behind in our taxes last year and I'm sure it'll be the same story for this year as well. It's beginning to snowball. I can't stand feeling fearful over this. I know that God is good, and that He has promised to take care of us, but right now, I just can't see how that's going to happen. I just need prayer to help me stay strong in my faith.
I work for a company that has seasonal employment. This means that we work for a time and are laid off. This season was much shorter. So many of us were laid off early. We hear the questions. Why do you continue to work for them, why not find something that does not lay off every year, is that worth the stress? The truth is they are a good company. Many of us have found benefits here during peak season that we have not had with past companies. We have a job that helps others. It is important to us that we make a small difference in the lives of others. So if you will pray for us during this off-peak season. Money will be tighter since unemployment will run out sooner and be less with the shorter season. Jobs are hard to come by and with most employers using online hiring, it is hard to figure out what is a scam and what is real.
There were hundreds of us laid off in 3 states. We have single-income families, single parents, people with disabilities, and those who have become accustomed to working from home and will not have childcare if they work outside the home due to affordability.
We are not expecting to return to work until November. This is a long time to struggle and is very stressful.
