Biography

Anne Murray was born in 1945, in Nova Scotia, and is a celebrated Canadian singer known for her contributions to pop, country, and adult contemporary music. She became the first Canadian female solo artist to reach number one on U.S. charts with her hit "Snowbird" in 1970. Over her 40-year career, Anne sold over 55 million albums worldwide and won numerous awards, including four Grammys and 24 Juno Awards. Her signature songs, such as "You Needed Me" and "A Little Good News," have left a lasting impact on the music industry
