About Samaritan

Since 1989, Samaritan Community Center has been serving the hurting and hungry of Northwest Arkansas. What began as a food pantry and clothing ministry through Fellowship Bible Church of Northwest Arkansas has grown into an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing food, healthcare, education, practical assistance, and community support to individuals and families across the region.

Samaritan believes every person deserves to be treated with dignity and compassion. Through a growing network of programs, volunteers, donors, churches, businesses, and community partners, Samaritan meets Neighbors where they are and helps create pathways toward greater stability, health, and self-reliance.

Today, Samaritan operates locations in Rogers and Springdale, along with two nonprofit thrift shops whose proceeds help support Samaritan's mission and programs.

Services

Samaritan provides a variety of programs designed to address the physical, emotional, and practical needs of Northwest Arkansas families, including:

• Samaritan Market – Provides access to fresh, nutritious food and essential grocery items for Neighbors experiencing food insecurity.
• Samaritan Dental & Counseling Clinic – Provides dental and counseling services to qualifying Neighbors, helping address barriers that can affect overall health and well-being.
• Samaritan Care – Provides practical support and connections to community resources that help individuals and families navigate challenging circumstances. For assistance call the Care line: 479-340-0109 or email: [email protected]. 
• Samaritan Kids – Provides food and support to children through programs such as BackPacks for Kids and SnackPacks for Kids.
• Samaritan Café – Provides community meals and a welcoming place for Neighbors to gather, connect, and receive support.
• Samaritan Farms & Teaching Kitchen – Connects healthy food with better health through local food production, nutrition education, hands-on cooking experiences, and community education.

Volunteer & Community Opportunities

Samaritan depends on hundreds of volunteers who give their time throughout the year. Volunteers serve across Samaritan's programs, thrift shops, food distribution efforts, special events, and community initiatives.

Whether you have a few hours to give, want to bring a group from your church or business, or are looking for an ongoing volunteer opportunity, there are many ways to serve.
