Mission: Our mission is to provide a network of friendship and resources to enhance a mothers potential through education, fellowship, and spiritual enrichment.
Vision: Building a bridge between situation and success to empower women and strength families.
About: Mother to Mother Ministry was established in 1991 to help low-income mothers break through the poverty cycle. In the past, over 1000 mothers have discovered this organization and its eagerness to help them. Mother to Mother is a ecumenical, 501c3 non-profit that uses volunteer mentors to reach across economic and cultural barriers that separate mothers.
Each of us faces situations in which we must set boundaries, financially or emotionally. Its time to take the limits off and trust God. Just because you dont see a way doesnt mean that God doesnt have a way. We established this website to link Northwest Arkansas with the needs of single and low income mothers that are going through transition and tough times in our community, that need our help, encouragement, support and guidance on their path to self sufficiency. We welcome you and encourage you to experience the Cause by helping us take on the battle. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of many.
Services/Volunteer Opportunities: Mother to Mother Ministries of NWA welcomes volunteers and donors!
There are several ways you can get involved through mentoring, Board of Directors, child care, and general volunteering. You can find more details about these volunteer opportunities on their website. There is also a list of community needs and prayer requests listed on the website.
We serve a variety of people throughout NWA. Our most needed items are maternity and baby items, including baby furniture and accessories. Additionally, when special circumstances arise, we will e-mail out to a special friends group of people that help us network to accommodate to these situations. If you are interested in becoming a friend you can submit your email address under the volunteer tab on their website and you will receive special needs requests and prayer requests through e-mail. Without these friends we couldnt show the love of God to our community.
Mothers Day is a special time of year, but for many of our families Mom is not recognized. In an effort to show our moms how appreciative we are for their hard work and dedications to their family, we shot a Mothers Day Celebration. Lunch is provided along with a moms goodie bag. Each child makes a special craft for their mom. Sponsorships are appreciated toward the Mothers Day celebration in May.
During the months of June- August we collect school supplies to assist with school supply needs, additionally new and gently used backpacks and shoes. Collection locations are always needed across NWA to collect donations.
December is a tough time for our families and to help take away the stress of the holidays and bring some joy we have our annual Christmas Celebration and throw a huge part to celebrate the birth of Christ. Each family receives a hot meal, a gift, the moms receive a goodie bag, and we have entertainment for the evening. It is a wonderful time for our families to forget about their daily struggles and enjoy their families. Sponsorships are greatly appreciated for our Christmas Celebration, along with toys, goodie bag items and door prizes for moms.
To make an online or credit card donation you can use the Donate button on the website. We greatly appreciate your support.
