Organization Information

Mission:  Working together for stronger, healthier babies.

Vision:  We strive to help moms have full-term pregnancies and research the problems that threaten the health of babies.

About:  The March of Dimes has led the way to discover the genetic causes of birth defects, to promote newborn screening, and to educate medical professionals and the public about best practices for healthy pregnancy.  We have supported research for surfactant therapy to treat respiratory distress and helped initiate the system of regional neonatal intensive care for premature and sick babies.

Volunteer Opportunities:  It is the volunteers that enable the March of Dimes to achieve its goals.

Volunteer Leaders – Leaders identify and recruit new, high-impact volunteers, increase awareness of our mission, participate in public appearances or presentations, and train volunteers and staff.
The March for Babies – If you’d like to volunteer at a local march, contact your local March of Dimes for questions about activities and other events.
National Service Partner- Your organization can become a partner to raise awareness of our mission and help save babies.  This may include community educational programs or fundraising events.  To become a partner, visit our website.
