I was driving down I49 a week ago having a "single-mom moment", which basically means I was having a full-fledged meltdown. I was talking to Jesus about all the "stuff". The concerns I have for my kids, financial worries, home repairs, the ever growing mountain of laundry, the days that are never long enough to do all that needs to be done.
I asked Jesus a simple, but desperate question, "can you remind me that I'm not alone in this?"
At that moment a song started playing. Can I be honest? I was a bit pouty about it. I'm the girl who gets the emails from people talking about how God used the right song at the right moment. I wanted to hear from God, but I wanted to hear from Him a different way. Then He gently spoke to my heart, "Keri, this is your moment for Me to speak to you, and I'm going to use this song to do it."
I pulled over, turned up the radio and heard God's word to me, through Phil Wickham's voice...
You will be safe in His arms, You will be safe in His arms
The hands that hold the world, are holding you now
This is the promise He made, He will be with you always
When everything is falling apart, you will be safe in His arms
This week we've been talking a lot about this being "Our Moment". Our Moment to see what God might do through the ministry of KLRC. But I was reminded, "our moment" is really just how God weaves together all of YOUR moments, and all of mine. Haven't we all had "my moment" when God used the right song at the right time?
When was your moment? When was the last time that the lyrics to a song pierced your heart and brought tears to your eyes? For me, it was last week. When was it for you?
Your gift to KLRC makes those moments happen... for YOU, for your kids, your grandkids, your neighbor, your co-worker.
Our Moment is incomplete without YOUR Moment! You are needed today!
We're stronger together!
