Each weekday morning from 5-9am, Mark & Christy share the info you need to start your day, the music you love, and real conversations about real life! Just like all of us, they are learning what it means to follow Jesus with joy, and they love to have fun! From the “Wednesday Game: Battle of Generations” to “50/50 with Mark & Christy,” they make it a mission to help you smile. Plus, each morning features a new Positive Difference story of the day that will warm your heart! 

About Mark

For close to two decades Mark has been helping NW Arkansas start their day uplifted and encouraged with KLRC. Mark and his wife have been married 25 years and are now launching their four kids into adulthood. About 10 years ago their youngest daughter was adopted from Ghana (and the KLRC family helped pray her home after a long battle). Mark’s family loves a good hike, cheering on their beloved Nebraska Cornhuskers, and traveling together. Mark and his wife can often be found on a pickle-ball date.

About Christy

Christy be easily distracted by chocolate, cheese dip, nerf guns, and puppies. She’s often referred to as the designated extrovert and is a sucker for outdoor adventure and spontaneity. She went to college on a soccer scholarship, earning her degree in broadcast journalism. After a 3 year stint as a TV producer and radio sidekick, she went back to college and became a teacher and a coach. Once her son Mac was born, she hung up her teaching and coaching hat and became a stay at home mom and blogger. Eventually, she found herself hosting the “The Brave Place” Podcast for KLRC, reigniting her love for real life storytelling and bringing hope and encouragement to listeners. Having faced several strongholds, she understands the power of addiction and deception. She also understands that the power of Jesus Christ is far greater and can break through all of it. Her life motto is, "In Him all things are possible, and in Him, all things are made new again."
