Just a little update on what’s going on with me and why you won’t be hearing from me in the mornings for the next few weeks.
Tomorrow morning I am scheduled for a hysterectomy due to fibroids and endometriosis. (yay!) Seriously, I’m really excited. I’ve been having problems for a long time and I’m really looking forward to being on the other side of this.
So… that means Mark is going to be alone for a few weeks. So feel free to call and chat with him, or send him funny Facebook messages so he won’t feel too lonely.
And if you’re a woman who has had a hysterectomy I’d love to hear from you! What do you wish you would have known before your surgery? How did you spend your recovery time? Do you have any good book recommendations? What’s your favorite show on Netflix or Hulu? How do you lay down and not clean the house? Any advice would be much appreciated. You can send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org I may not respond right away (because email and pain pills don’t mix) but I’d love to hear from you!
Also I would appreciate your prayers. We are hoping to do laparoscopic surgery which would mean a shorter recovery time, but my doctor isn’t sure we will be able to do that, and he won’t know for sure until he gets started.
The thought of not starting my mornings with you is really hard for me to think about, but I’m praying the time will go quickly! I’ll miss being here, and promise to be back as soon as my doctor says I can.
P.S. Yes, that's a dinosaur. You have to find humor in every situation. Right?
