The events that occurred in Parkland, Florida on Valentine’s Day reminded us of the darkness that permeates the world we live in. As we survey the landscape of our nation, it would be easy to despair – because darkness is a frightening thing indeed.


It was three o’clock in the morning when my wife woke me up. “It’s time to go to the birthing center. ” “What? Like, right now?” (In my defense, it was a week before my wife’s due date. ) “Yes, now. Things are getting serious. ” She wasn’t wrong. Our second daughter, Arwyn, was born just a couple hours later.


It's fun to reminisce about holiday traditions from our childhood, isn't it? But if you're like me, while you might look back on all of those traditions fondly as an adult, there were probably some that you looked forward to much more than others as a young child.


Yeah, I know the Olympics are over. But I haven't quite accepted it yet. Last night I got home after doing the Drive-Home show and instinctively grabbed the remote, only to have it dawn on me that the Closing Ceremony had already wrapped up the Sochi Games the night before.   I'm an Olympic junkie, I confess.
