About Ansen and Kara

Ansen grew up in Topeka, KS, and got his start in broadcasting as a kid by producing his own "radio shows" using the tape recorder in his bedroom.  Ansen enrolled at John Brown University, graduating in 2008 with a degree in broadcasting.  He was hired at KLRC shortly after.  Ansen obsessively follows Kansas State athletics and Indycar Racing.  He also loves music, playing the piano, guitar, and drums.

Kara grew up in Nebraska playing with her Fisher Price microphone, but never dreamed she'd work in radio. Kara went to college, took a radio class, and watched God set things in motion. She transferred to JBU and completed her degree in ’09. She’s thrilled to join the team again, as KLRC never really got out of her system. Kara loves photography, baking, and long conversations with good friends (especially if there’s coffee involved.)
