Mothering Matters is a ministry of Siloam Springs Bible Church designed to reach out to mothers of young children. The premise of Mothering Matters is based on Titus 2:3-5 with goals of mentoring mothers in a personal way, making friends, learning parenting skills, receiving encouragement, addressing spiritual needs, gaining perspective, having some time away from the kids, receiving support from other moms, gaining instruction in values, and planning adventures with the kids. Main meetings on the first Friday feature a speaker and group discussion. A Care Group book study of "And Then I Had Kids" by Susan Alexander Yates will be offered each third Friday of the month. Quality, loving childcare by highly skilled, background-checked childcare workers is offered during monthly meetings to children ages infant through pre-kindergarten as well as homeschoolers. A suggested donation of $3 will be collected anonymously on first Fridays to cover materials.
