Growing Opportunities Inc. Pilot Project (Community Outreach)

Location: Tontitown, Arkansas

We are piloting a project meant to assist those with "agriculture" disabilities, or "brown thumbs." We are holding classes in Tontitown offering instruction on everything from seed planting, to transplanting to a garden. Including hands on experience with farm animals, and for those interested, support with an entry in the Washington County Fair. We will meet on Saturday's bimonthly through May for 6 sessions. Samaritan Community Center Volunteer Awards Dinner (Volunteer Opportunity)

Samaritan Community Center is seeking "new" volunteers to help us honor our 350+ volunteers as part of our annual volunteer appreciation and awards dinner on Friday April 26th. We need volunteers to help prepare food, set up and decorate, serve food and clean up. We need volunteers on Thursday afternoon, Friday morning and Friday evening. Groups, families and individuals are encouraged to help us honor these volunteer heroes! We will be having our annual Chicken Dinner fundraiser on Thursday evening, April 25th. You can either pick up your meal to-go or we will have tables set up outside where you can enjoy your dinner at the school.Each meal is $5 and contains: Chicken Leg Quarter, Beans, Veggie, Roll & Dessert (Water & Lemonade also available for purchase)The meals can be picked up at 5, 6 & 7pm and outside delivery is available.
