Siloam Springs Postal Service Holiday Food Drive (Food Drive)

The Siloam Springs postal service is hosting an annual holiday food drive on November 4 through 9. This drive will help Siloam's five local food banks for the holidays. We ask that everyone give two or more non-perishable food items. You can put your items in your mail box or hang them. We collected 6,000 pounds last year. This year our goal is 8,000 pounds. CBCO Blood Drive (Blood Drive)

CBCO needs your help to meet the growing need for blood in the Ozarks. Eligibility requirements include weighing at least 110 pounds, being in general good health and present required ID.A single blood donation can save the lives of up to three people.
Washington to Unveil Restored Commons Area for Students (School Event)

Washington Junior High will unveil its newly renovated Commons area in a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on November 8th at 10:30am. Several local businesses have worked on the project and guests will include representatives from Walmart, Scots Miracle-Gro, Berry Family Nurseries, Pavestone, Col-Met, AMES True Temper, and STR Trucking. These companies and their employees have donated materials, time, and equipment to the effort which began this summer. Volunteers from these companies planted trees and other landscaping, built walls to control erosion, and laid sod. New picnic tables were installed for students and the Washington Junior High School PTO donated $10,000 to pave a new basketball court on the site.

Civitan Soup Sampler (Fundraiser)

3rd Annual Civitan Soup Sampler on Friday Nov 8th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. All you can eat potato soup, cowboy stew, and broccoli cheese, cornbread and dessert for $5.00. All funds go to support children and adults with developmental disabilities.
FUSE Presented by WorkMatters (Community Event)

FUSE is an event series presented by WorkMatters and focused on fusing your work, faith and life. It is presented three times a year featuring a speaker with national faith at work expertise and experience. The November FUSE event features Joel Manby, President and CEO of Herschend Family Entertainment and Author of Love Works. The event will be held at John Q. Hammons Convention Center in Rogers. The Man From Aldersgate (Fundraiser)

Benton County Right to Life will host a presentation of "The Man from Aldersgate," based on the life of John Wesley. A spaghetti dinner will be served. Seating begins at 6pm. Itís a special presentation of "The Man from Aldersgate" with B.J. Johnston on Friday, November 8th. Written by playwright Brad L. Smith, this play is a one-man play taken directly from the journals of John Wesley. Through the powerful medium of drama, Wesley and his dynamic ministry are brought to life.
