Feel the Presence of God - Anonymous (8/7/2010)
KLRC has made a difference to me. When I am having a bad day and feel like I have nowhere to turn, I know I can always turn to JESUS.
When I listen to KLRC I can feel the precence of God in my car. It's like He's sitting in the passenger seat and Ge's telling me, "Everything is going to be alright. Just believe and have faith, and trust in Me." KLRC does make a positive difference in lives, because it sure has changed my life.
From where I was to where I am today is a total turn around. I didn't grow up in a Christian environment. When I was fourteen I had my first child. I had my second one at sixteen, then my third at eighteen. In those years I was physically abused by their dad since I was fifteen years old. I didn't think that I would ever finish school, and everyone always told me I would never make it in life because I had children at a young age. But at the time I didn't know God had a plan for me.
I got into drugs really bad, started working at a bar, all while trying to raise my three kids. I felt like I had nothing to live for. I was being beat everyday and I didn't want to wake up, but my children kept me strong. Their dad got arrested and that was my time to get out of the relationship. I met my future husband at the bar I was working at. I didn't tell him that I was on drugs when I met him. Everyone I tried to talk to didn't care, they just wanted to supply me with more. But when I met my husband I knew he was different from the others.
Something told me to tell him about my drug problems. It was amazing. He listened to me and he said to me, "I will clean you up." I don't know if I should of believed him because of the way I have been treated, but I went with him. Our whole family got saved in 2007 and married in 2008. We had a daughter together, and I went to beauty college and graduated. I'm now going back for my instructor's licence and my husband is in the process of adopting my three children. I didn't know that this was God's plan the whole time, and never dreamed of going through all the trials I have been through.
God created my husband just for me. All I have to say to listeners is if God can change my life, He can change yours.
