Meet The Staff
Kara Bird - Public Service Director
Been at KLRC since:
My family lives in Nebraska, including my amazing parents, two big brothers I couldnít live without, two fabulous sister-in-laws, and two hilarious nephews and a sweet niece who light up my life.
I spend a lot of time processing life through reading and writing, and listening to great music. I love capturing the beautiful moments of peopleís lives with my camera, whether itís a special event, or just an ordinary day. I also believe cookies can cure (almost) anything, and I love testing my theory on friends, family and co-workers as often as I can. :)
Not a hug soda fan, but give me a tall glass of sweet tea any day and Iíll be happy!
Too many to choose! Most recently, Les Miserables moved to the top of my list. I also love a good Bond movie, and on the opposite end of the spectrum, a good animated movie can almost make my day (Tangled, Up, Mega Mind, Despicable Me.) I know, right? So mature.
Favorite KLRC artists:
David Crowder Band, Toby Mac, Tenth Avenue North, Switchfoot, Jars of Clay
I have the gift (curse?) of remembering movie lines, and songs from musicals, in great detail. It gets tricky when youíre trying to concentrate and canít shut off the movie in your head.
Favorite part of working at KLRC:
That I get to spend my days working alongside a team of people whose passion is to share hope in Christ with as many people as possible, and who live and breathe the reality of that hope every day.
